Fourth Grade Introduction to Cyber Safety and Blogging

Fourth Grade students are beginning the year learning to communicate through Reader's Response blogs. Each classroom teacher has set up a blog page within their TeacherWeb page that student's will interact with on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Ms. Freeman visited each classroom and led a lesson on web safety, using pseudonyms, and how to interact with the blog page itself. At the beginning of the week, their teacher will post a question about the book that the class is reading. Student's will then need to post a response to the question and can give feedback to each other's responses and receive feedback from their peers and their teacher. With Sommer's focus on writing this year, this is a great kickoff!
