Students used an online resource to aid in their understanding of algebraic thinking. Students interacted with http://www.mathplayground.com/functionmachine.html to practice 'input and output'. The lesson went well because students were able to work at their own level on the computer game. It helped them learn to write algebraic sentences and think algebraically.
