Third and Fourth Grade students used Microsoft Paint to create rhythm patterns. They are learning about time signatures and their affect on groups of rhythms, so they were given a time signature and were to create several measures in the designated time signature. Students then shared their rhythms with a partner, were given an opportunity to edit if needed and then got in a larger group of 4 or 5 students. The larger groups lined up their computers and practiced saying their rhythms out loud. The groups then chose fun ways to play their rhythms using body percussion to present them to the class. What a great way integrate technology seamlessly into a music lesson!
