The students meet once a week after school to build, program, and explore the world of robotics. The program focuses on problem-solving and engineering skills. Kids learn to use a program called Lego NXT Mindstorms to design and program the robot that they build. Advanced students learn to program their robot to complete obstacle courses in an allotted amount of time. Sommer even has a couple of teams that compete in the area!
