GAFE Introductions
Last week, I met with each of the Fourth Grade classes and introduced the students to their new Google Apps for Education accounts. They were excited to have an email address and be able to email their teachers and ask questions. As part of the lesson, they all created a folder in their Google Drive, named it 2013-2014 and then we shared it with their classroom teacher. I explained that everything that they create over the course of the year, they should save in this folder so that they can keep themselves organized; just like they do their closets at home, I'm sure! In sharing this folder with their teacher, as long as a student creates a new document or presentation within it, they won't need to do anything to turn it in to their teacher. The teacher already has access to it, because they've shared this folder with them. Fun bonus of GAFE...you can't forget your homework!
