In Mrs. Holliday's Fourth Grade class, students were taking turns using the slate to write and go review the previous night's math homework. Each student worked the problem and checked their work with the class. The whole class was completely engaged in the process of the lesson and were kind and patient if a classmate needed a little extra help learning how to use the slate.
