Movies in Art

Today I began the first of a series of lessons with Mrs. Childress's Fifth Grade art classes. The students have been working on a project to research and understand different artistic occupations. As a culmination of this research each of the students or student groups (their choice) will create a movie summarizing what they've discovered. Students have created artwork in different mediums that they have photographed or videoed and will use as part of their final movie. The focus of my lesson was to introduce them to Movie Maker and Photostory. Students will choose the program most suited to the needs of their project.
