PBL Movies

I got to spend time this week with several of the Second Grade classes to introduce them to PhotoStory. The students are working on their PBL projects and creating a movie using this program is one of the things that they can create to share what they've learned through all of their research and play on their exhibition day. PhotoStory is a free program created by Microsoft to create slideshows of pictures. In our lesson, the students learned how to add the pictures of the Round Rock landmarks that they took to a timeline. They learned how to edit each of the pictures, add transitions, and their own voice for narration. The toughest part was trying to understand the difference between saving the project and creating/saving the movie.
