Slates in action!

In Mrs. Mury's Fourth Grade class, she used the slate for a recent math lesson. Mrs. Mury used the annotate over the desktop feature in ActivInspire to write on top of graphics that she had found previously. The students were challenged to find the operation for different input/output scenarios that she presented. Students took turns using the slate to add to the column of numbers and then write what operation they used to find the answers. With each new 'puzzle' the students got more excited to figure out the pattern and be the one to share. It was a great way to introduce algebra to the Fourth Graders!
