Slates in action!

in a recent math lesson, Mrs. Erickson used a flipchart from Promethean Planet to practice the concept of greater than, less than, and equal to with her Second Graders. Students took turns circling the portion that the gator should eat and then identifying and writing the symbol. After several graphic representations, the students saw just numbers and had to draw the symbols in between each number pair to create the correct equation. Fun and colorful lesson!
