Slates in action!

Mrs. Daniel used her class slate during a recent math lesson with her Third Graders. Mrs. Daniel demonstrated and then the students took turns playing a game telling the time. They were given a time in words (ie, quarter to two) and had to stop the clock when it reached that time. Mrs. Daniel could set the speed that the clock hands would turn. It was tough for some of them to aim at the 'stop' button and no one gave a student a hard time who missed a time because of bad aim. The cheering for big points was a lot of fun!
